Hi I wonder if I can pull on your combined knowledge. I have a young person, with a EHCP. he currently has a GCSE English Grade 3, which is his third attempt at it (completed at different providers). He joined us in September but is finding re sitting GCSEs AGAIN is affecting his confidence and mental health. He has ADHD, dyslexia and Autism. How can I put a case for him not to contiinue?
Many thanks
Frances

I mean, they don't have to do it, they'll just fail Condition of Funding. Depends how many other learners you have failing CoF, we've still got 2.5% tolerance.
That definitely sounds like one we'd allow to fail CoF and go in the 2.5%. We have a whole process for it here, with a board that meets to agree which ones can be allowed fail CoF, and parents are consulted first. We're always still well under 2.5%.
