(I mean I would say this but) Get 'em enrolled (not the 8 year old!)...
Look, we have to take people at face value on this, we can't be beholden to whatever nonsense changes the HO makes to the eVisa system. DfE/DWP are *never* going to keep up with it so we just have to use our best judgement and have the courage of our convictions if and when the auditors come.
Bear in mind the Adult Skills Funding is no longer available for anyone on Skilled Worker Visa -
Individuals who are not eligible for funding
You must not claim funding for individuals who do not meet the eligibility criteria set out in the residency eligibility section. Examples of individuals who do not meet the eligibility criteria include the following. Please note this list is not exhaustive:
- those who are here without authority or lawful status
- those who are resident in the UK on a student or graduate visa
- those who are in the UK on holiday, with or without a visa
- those who are in the UK on a sponsorship visa, including skilled worker visas and seasonal worker visas
- those whose biometric residence permit or residence permit imposes a study prohibition or restriction on the individual

Skilled Worker Route includes dependants
Created
Good morning all,
I wonder if any other provider has come across this predicament.
We have a learner who used to have "partner" status and was a partner of a skilled worker. We have since had an updated Visa which show "Skilled Worker Route" which she says is not correct and she is still "partner". As an aside her 8yr old son also has "Skilled worker Route" on his eVisa too. She has queried this with the home office and been told that the status of "Skilled Worker Route" is because this status also includes the dependants of Skilled Workers who are granted this route, and they are aware the status title on their eVisa may not match the title on their BRP. I wonder if anyone else has come across this?
Thanks
Joan
