Residual Payment

Created

None

An apprentice changed employer, so I've put the new negotiated training price and negotiated assessment price into the ILR as residual but I'm getting an ILR data mismatch, it isn't recognising the new cost of £2429.

Any ideas?

Have you set up the new AS record and employment history record yet? We sometimes get the AS records trying to match the wrong period if we don't get the AS stop/start dates, residual price dates, and employment history dates all bang on matching. That's usually our issue in cases like this.

Hi Ruth

Yes the AS record is set up and details approved with the employer - it's this account that the ILR data mis-match is showing on. The end date of previous employer was 27/07/2025 and she started with the new employer 29/07/2025.  Residual cost is from 29/07/2025.  Employer info is up to date on our database.

I'd just contact the AS, they can usually find the issue. Sometimes it's the oddest things. Keep going back if you don't get an answer first time. They have a second tier technical team who have always been fantastic in my experience.

One thing, did you return the new TNP values in the ILR in the 24/25 R14? If you didn't, you definitely need advice from the technical team as TNP dates from before this year get sort of ignored. We had a very late notification of change of employer once, and this happened. I can't remember what the solution was, but I think we ended up losing a bit of funding.
