R06 - Achievements for Previous Academic Year Students

Created

Hi all,

Previously, we have aimed to enter a completion status for students who were continuing and beyond their planned end date from a previous academic year by the R06. For this academic year, we are trying to determine whether this process is still a requiurement or could we keep them as 'Continuing' until the R14.

I've looked for any funding/QAR guidance around this process, but had no luck, so think that this might have been a rule for previous years. Is anyone aware whether this is still a requirement, or perhaps could point me to the relevant guidance for this? Thank you

I'm not sure R06 has *ever* been an externally required deadline for this? QAR used to use R04 for late reported achievements before 31 July but that's the only thing I can think of?

I mean, it's definitely A Good Idea to know where all of your Past Planned End Date learners are and R06 seems like an appropriate time to do a big review, but no need to have everyone closed off by then.

Agreed, you have always been allowed to leave them Continuing for as long as they are genuinely continuing (and the aim still exists in the learning aim list for that year). What that does to your QAR data is another matter. We have internal processes where we don't allow this for too long, but we've never closed enrolments that were genuinely continuing just because we got to R06.
