Learner already in training

We have a learner wanting to enrol on an apprenticeship. The PLR is showing study continuing with a previous provider.

The learner has confirmed they have withdrawn. The learner has tried to contact their previous provider to get confirmation of their withdrawal, I have tried to contact them to get confirmation, have received nothing from them.

Their start date for the open aims is 2020, am I right in thinking we are ok to proceed with enrolment due the fact they will not be receiving any funding for him? (it was a 24 month apprenticeship).

Yes, it's fine, it happens a lot. The PLR used to work so that the ZPROG001 aim appeared multiple times, once per academic year, and all the ones before the final one stayed there forever. There are still old ones like that about. If you want to be on the safe side, get the student to sign something to say they withdrew. You can't account for what previous providers didn't do, or for systems that are odd.

How do you know it was a 24 month apprenticeship? That doesn't show in the PLR.
