Conventional 'wisdom' would suggest not, on the basis that it's definitionally (if not potentially misleadingly) learning support funding - and since the learning portion of the apprenticeship has finished, the scope for claiming funding in helping an apprentice to learn, has closed. However, the guidance quite clearly states:
You can use learning support funding to make reasonable adjustments to support an apprentice who has learning difficulties or disabilities, so they can complete their apprenticeship. This could include reasonable adjustments to complete:
- English and maths requirements
- the end-point assessment
If this means delivering LSF beyond the ILR PED, which I'm guessing it almost certainly will in this case, you'd just need to ensure that the FAM 'Date applies to' was updated to reflect the longer duration:
If the learning aim has a Learning Delivery Funding and Monitoring type of LSF or ALB recorded, this field must be completed to indicate when this will be effective to.
...
If Learning support funding or Advanced Learner Loans Bursary funding is required beyond the planned end date of the learning aim, then the Date applies to field should be updated to reflect this

Learning Support Funding & EPA

Hi, we have some learners who have received LSF and are now in EPA period - we will still be supporting them as they prepare for their assessments, are able to still claim LSF & if so, would this be through EAS?
Thanks
