ASF Achievement Query

Hi All,

I hope someone can please help me with this query.

In relation to ASF, if you deliver a course which has an associated vendor exam would that be mandatory to confirm and claim achievement or could a provider put it's own rigorous assessment process in place as an alternative for learners who were unwilling/unable to take the exam?

Many Thanks

Lisa

Gonna need more info here because, and I quote:

We will not fund:

This used to EXPLICITLY mention vendor certs as non-fundable and, in my opinion, still should...

So, is this a devolved flex or...

Thanks Steve, sorry I should have given a little bit more info on my query, these courses we are delivering are fundable through a devolved MCA contract, and they give us Z codes we can use relating to our programs like a Level 2 Microsoft 365 Fundamentals course or a Microsoft DP-900 Azure Fundamentals.

Phew, was hoping it was something like that!

I mean, I think I'd treat it like an Ofqual qual, if you've not got a cert from the "awarding body" then how can you say it's an achievement? If the point of it being funded is to get learners *accreditation* that would improve their employment chances (rather than just learning about stuff to do so) then lack of certification kind of defeats the purpose, doesn't it? But I guess it's really a question for your MCA, they're the ones paying you! ;)

Thanks Steve, appreciate your advice this helps, we will seek advice from our MCA :)
