This will depend on what the funding band max is for the standard your apprentice is on. Without knowing this, I have included calculations below which shows what the expected reduction would be, based on all funding band maximums where a standard has a minimum off-the-job threshold of 509, and a proposed off-the-job reduction of 14 hours.

Depending on which standard your apprentice is on, if the funding band max is highlighted red, the proposed reduction of £137 is not, I do not believe, sufficient enough to satisfy the criteria in the funding rules.
Thank you Ben,
Can i ask where you got this calculation from, please, as this is a levy learner being delivered to our own employees, we cannot make a profit, therefore the funding max band is irrelevant as we would never fund to the max allocation for one of our levy apprentices, regardless of RPL or not, if that makes sense. I understand this being the case if we were classed as a training provider delivering to levy employer but we are the employer provider in this case.

The calculation was derived from 35.2 of the funding rules which advises that to calculate a price reduction you need to:
- Identify the number of hours you're reducing the off-the-job expectation by (in your case, 14)
- Calculate the percentage of hours this represents as a proportion of those that would normally be delivered to someone with no prior learning (14 / 509 = ~2.8)
- Reduce the total price by at least 50% of this percentage (~1.4), from the funding band maximum (per the table above)
I understand what you're saying in terms of you delivering to a member of staff and therefore your agreed price will likely be below the funding band. This may be a flaw in the way it's calculated, or at least a slightly unfair 'penalty'. The guidance states the revised maximum will be the starting point for any further negotiation, but it does not (seem to) account for where this is already the case prior to reducing for RPL.
Unless anyone else can offer their experience / alternative advice, I'd suggest speaking to the service desk.

RPL price reduction due to RPL is below the minimum outlined in the funding rules. Review the figures below and make necessary changes
I have added an apprentice to the DAS, OTJ min is 509 reduction is 14 hours, price reduction is £137, I haven't reduced the duration , why does this error keep appearing when i am trying to add MTIA
