Yes, you use TNP3 and TNP4, and your calculations are correct, but I'd probably round down to £1,830 just because it's neat and we can afford to lose 76p.
Yes, it's not fair that employer 2 has to take responsibility for the entire 20% completion, but that's just how it works.
With a change of employer with a gap of less than 30 days, just watch out when that gap crosses the month end. If they leave employer 1 on 20th Apr, and start with employer 2 on 10th May, then employer 1 is responsible for the April payment, even though they left before the end of April (they wouldn't be if it were a full withdrawal, or the gap between employers was >30 so you applied a break).

TNP3 and TNP4 Query
Created
Hello,
We have a learner who started on a 13 month apprenticeship(max funding £7000) with their TNP1 value was £6860 and TNP2 value was £540. They worked for a non-levy paying employer.
After being on programme for 12 months, they changed employers. Since they are on the same programme and with the same Training provider, what would we need to request of the new employer in their contract for services and would this be the same values we include in their ILR as TNP3 and TNP4 values so we don't lose out to any funding and are not going over the maximum funding band.
We received £326 from their previous employer as their share of coinvestment.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. The information we have received so far suggests that since the funding yet to be received in Month 12 is £1830.76, we would need to report TNP3 as £1290.76 and TNP4 would still be £540 as they haven't attempted their EPA. It seems unfair to have to request the new employer to pay 5% of £1830.76 for one months training & EPA. Would like to know whether this is correct and if not, what would be the correct funding treatment in the ILR and with the new employer.
Thanks
Lucy
