Restarting Learners

You should not put back to start a learner who has not undertaken learning (excepting if the start was in a previous funding year) the correct process is to not return the record in the ILR.

Due to that you could amend the original record with the later start date.

True....but in this case the learner had first day in learning, was reported in the ILR but disengaged shortly after so was put back to start as effectively the first day in learning was also their last.

Do they need a new ILR record or do we update the existing one?

Hi Dan,

As the ILR should reflect reality so you should add a new programme aim and component aim for the new start.
