LDM Code for Unemployed in receipt of other benefit

Created

None

We have a learner who fits the criteria below to be fully funded but we can't find the correct LDM code in order to not cause an ILR error? Any ideas?

Thanks.

160. Providers may also use their discretion to fully fund other learners if both of the following apply. The learner:

160.1. receives other state benefits (not listed in paragraph 159) and their take-home pay (disregarding benefits) is less than £338 a month (learner is sole adult in their benefit claim) or £541 a month (learner has a joint benefit claim with their partner), and

160.2. wants to be employed, or progress into more sustainable employment, and their take-home pay (disregarding benefits) is less than £338 a month (learner is sole adult in their benefit claim) or £541 a month (learner has a joint benefit claim with their partner), and you are satisfied identified learning is directly relevant to their employment prospects and the local labour market needs

What ILR error are you getting?

Clair Ayling

LearnDelFAMType_81 The Full funding indicator is not valid for this learning aim

The Employment Status is 11 and Benefit status in receipt of state benefit other than JSA, Universal Credit or ESA (WRAG)

I have checked that the aim is funded.

Many thanks!

What BSI code have you recorded? I.e the actual number of the code

Clair Ayling

Ah, is in as 3 should now be 6?

Jess Reading

Yes - 3 is only valid if they started prior to 01/08/2020

Thanks so much, Jessicar!
