Study Programme Enrichment Codes

Created

Good morning could anyone help with an issue we have regarding what code to use in our ILR for the enrichment aim (50 hours)?

I believe it to be the following ones below but haven't had any response back from the ESFA.

Z0001772 Non regulated provision, Entry Level, Foundations for Learning and Life
Z0001822 Non regulated provision, Level 1, Foundations for Learning and Life
Z0001872 Non regulated provision, Level 2, Foundations for Learning and Life

Enrichment doesn't necessarily have to have a learning aim. For 16-19 funding, you just report the planned EEP hours to get the right funding band. Some of your EEP might have a learning aim, like Work Experience, but not all of it has to. If audited, you just have to evidence that you planned delivery for the hours you declared as EEP. We've been audited twice on the current 16-19 funding model, and it's always been fine that we only include the Work Experience and regulated qualification aims in the ILR, and just report the tutorial and other enrichment as an EEP value. We have registers to back up those hours. Does that cover what you meant?

Hi Ruth

That does make sense and this is how it has been done at my new company for 20-21 against the planned hours on the learners electronic ILP/timetable. However in previous years they did use separate non reg z codes for induction, work related activity, enrichment and tutorials. Yet nobody can explain the change, which is why I was curious about what other providers are doing.

Thanks
