BIL (TIMESCALE)

Created

None

Hi,

We have two learners who I have been asked to put on a Break in Learning (BIL) whose programmes are due to be completed in May 21.

One is for maternity leave and the other health and safeguarding issues.

Is there a time limit when we can't put a learner on a BIL?

Thanks

Michael

Does this thread from yesterday answer your question?

Or are you asking if there is a limit on how close to their planned end date they can be when going on a BIL? You can technically start a BIL after your planned end date if you were running behind.

Hi Ruth C-J,

Not really.

Both are of learners have been on programme for 27 months of a 30 month programme and this will be their first BIL as such.

I just wanted to know if we can put them on a BIL so close to completion date which is in May.

Thanks

As I said, you can even put a student on a BIL after their Planned End Date. There is no limit.

Thanks that is as clear as day now.
