Extending Duration - OTJ?
Created
None
Hi Everyone,
We need to extend the planned duration for an apprentice who needs to defer some on-programme exams. I know we should definitely not change the planned end date... but what do we need to do in terms of off-the-job hours? Do we need to work out 20% of the new duration (given 20% will be higher amount of hours) and update the ILR? Or do we stick to the original amount?
Thanks!

You would make no change to the ILR but should update the commitment statement with the revised end date as agreed with the employer.
Had confirmation last year (via service desk) that planned OTJ doesn't increase when a learner passes their Planned End Date, so "no, but", in that it sounds like you'll need to do more to get this learner through.
