Hi Michael,
Completion status/Outcome should be 1/8 when the learning has been concluded and the learner enters gateway - they should only be set to '2 - Completed' once the learning and EPA have been finished (whether that is successfully, or unsuccessfully). The guidance states;
"In order to be recorded as ‘Completed’ (Completion status code 2), both the training and end point assessment activities for the programme must be completed. An end point assessment that has resulted in a failed outcome can be classed as complete as long as the learner reaches the end of the end point assessment period, rather than withdrawing. If either of these have not been completed, then the programme aim cannot be recorded with Completion status code 2."
The learner will need to be withdrawn as of the last date of evidenced learning.
Not sure about the specifics of how MAYTAS records stuff, but learners' Programme Aims shouldn't be Completed until they've taken all elements of the EPA. They stay as Continuing with an ActualEndDate to show they've gone to Gateway.
But, anyway, yes, even where a learner has gone to Gateway, if they subsequently don't take their EPA, the Programme Aim needs to be flagged as Withdrawn.

Learner leaving before EPA

Hi,
We have a learner who has completed the learning part of his apprenticeship, and has gone through Gateway.
We have not been able to book his EPA due to restriction on LGV EPA's due to Covid 19.
However, in the meantime since his Gateway he has left the business on a TUPE transfer and will not be undertaking his EPA.
On our Maytas system he is down as Completed - do we now need to bring him back into learning and the withdraw him as a Leaver?
Any guidance would be appreciated.
Regards
Michael
