National Insurance Numbers

Created

None

Hi,

Can anyone help, we have a new apprentice who was 16 in January 2021 and as not yet received her national insurance number.  She as since told us after she chased this up that it could take 16 weeks for that to come through and that she was advised that she doesnt need it as she wont be paying national insurance.  If this is the case how would it be coded on the ILR until the national insurance number is available?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Anna

No NI number will produce the following warning;

NINumber_02 NINumber=|

The National Insurance number must be returned for this learner

It is a warning only so as long as all other details are correct on ILR you will receive funding for this learner.  Just leave the NI number blank until you have it

Hi, can I clarify this please as this is showing as an error when left blank - not a warning:

Hi Dan

It is indeed classed as an error in this funding year and you will not receive any funding for the learner until you input the NINo.
