What MI system are you using? Most will allow a record to look Continuing, but you can not include in the ILR. Our MI System also has a start date threshold, and any enrolments starting after that aren't included in the ILR until that date has passed. You can put quite a distant start date until it's confirmed.
Having said that, I'd have no qualms putting an unfunded aim like that in the ILR, as you can always just take it out or change the date later. Even if you code it 36, it doesn't attract any funding itself.

Hello,
Please could someone help me to clarify the following. We have a small cohort of learners that the tutor wishes to enrol them onto a non mandatory unit, this will be a week long course with a exam at the end. They have not decided the actual start date yet, but want to be able to release block weeks via one of our systems which requires the learners to be made live in our student administration system. They also want to be able to register the learner on the awarding body. Please could you advise if we are able to put the learner live without evidence of the actual start date. If we are able to get planned start date and end date, can we make them live with this until we have confirmation?
