The minimum duration has been 8 months since 1 Aug 2025. Paragraph 82 of the 25/26 Apps Rules. It's all about minimum hours.
If you're expecting any additional payments at day 365, and the "published typical duration" is 12 months or more, you lose those final additional payments if they finish early.

Hi,
We have a learner going off on maternity leave soon. She started on programme in September 2025. Under the changes to minimum duration, can anyone confirm if the learner can go through gateway early i.e. at the 8 month point or at least in less than 12 months providing they have completed the minimum hours required for the standard? The learner is desperate to complete before going off on mat leave.
