No to your first question. You can deliver any non-mandatory qual you like alongside an apprentice, because it's actually not really related. As a tip, make sure you code them as not funded and not components. We had a right mess when students continued their non-mandatory quals (that we'd recorded as components) after the Standard finished, which caused an ILR error (can't carry on components on a close Standard). You can't just change the funding stream if they started in a previous year. So, even if there is a non-mandatory qual, also add the Z00 code if there's no English/maths/mandatory qual.
Also sort of no to your second question. It's in all the individual Standard specs. I can never find them, but our Exams team were able to get them for me, when I did a big task unfunding all the non-mandatory components. I expect the delivery team to tell me what they are delivering, and whether it's mandatory.

Optional Regulated aims (Apprenticeships)

Where there is an apprenticeship programme without a mandatory aim, but we still offer a qualification as part of the programme. Does the regulated aim need to be showing under the Funding Approved section for apprenticeship programmes on the 'Find a Learning Aim' service?
Additionally, even where the standard has a mandatory qualification, LARS only shows the associated non-regulated aim. Is there a way of easily identifying the associated mandatory qualifications aim references?
