This guidance is weirdly out of date in parts, but I still think it's correct (I can't find a superseding page);

GCSE grades/retakes

With GCSE results now out we're working out who needs to continue on GCSE and who can take a stepping stone qualification. We are a specialist college for students with disabilities so although COF rules still apply our students circumstances are often more challenging and continuing to work towards GCSEs isn't appropriate or helpful. Student coming to us has achieved a 1 in Maths, can we revert to a stepping stone with a lower grade rather than have to continue with GCSE?
Thanks in advance for any advice.
