Using LET across funding years

Can someone advise please what i need to do if i have 30 learners who started in pre 1/8/21, then another 20 who started in Aug-21.  Do we need to add the 20 to the 21/22 LET.

What happens to the learners in the 20/21 LET?

Then export the two files for the R13 and R01 submission?

You continue to return all learners who started up to 31/07/2021 from the 20/21 LET and return a 20/21 ILR for periods 13 and 14, any continuing learners and new starts from 01/08/2021 are included in the 21/22 LET and returned in the 21/22 ILR from R01.

Haven't tested it but will now, presumably you can export from LET20/21 into LET21/222 to avoid having to re-key every single learner in manually??

The best method is to import your 20/21 ILR for R12 or R13 into the 21/22 LET and this will perform basic data migration of the records, you can then add any new starts for R01.

Hi martin, thanks for much for this, very helpful

Sorry for the probably daft question, but once i have imported and migrated 20/21 carry over learners into 21/22 LET, should i delete them from the 20/21 LET and only leave in the those learners who are withdrawn.  Or do i not need to worry about this as duplicate learners will be addressed once submitted through SLD.

Thanks again for your help

Do not delete any records from the 20/21 LET as this will be still used up to R14 20/21 for your final 20/21 ILR return.

The 21/22 should only contain those learners continuing from 20/21 and new starts in 21/22 and will not contain any duplicate records.
