We've been told by a IT company that the ESFA states we must achieve Cyber Essentials Plus in 21/22, however I thought this was scaled down due to covid-19? We have achieve the basic Cyber Essentials.

I thought the same so checked with Service Desk. They confirmed the plus version is not required in our current contracts.
It's worth highlighting that achieving Cyber Essentials Plus is significantly harder that Cyber Essentials, and will require organisational preparation, so it may be an idea to start planning anyway.
