DAS - Status

Created

None

3 of our apprentices have completed their apprenticeship and 1 has withdrawn.  This information has been reflected on the ILR and data submissions have already been made.  However, on the DAS they are still showing as live.  How would I change their status?

It could be that the completion payment has not been made, see: https://help.apprenticeships.education.gov.uk/hc/en-gb/articles/360013677039-Apprenticeship-record-status-and-completion-payment-month

If they completed before the expected end date, the employer will need to change the planned training end date on DAS  and the training provider approve the change.

Martin Locock I don't think that's required unless the open DAS record is causing a clash because they want to progress. The Completion in the ILR should still shut it down eventually.

The Apprenticeship Service have admitted that in can take several weeks between us returning an ILR with a Completed apprenticeship, and that being reflected in DAS. That's frustrating when they finish early and want to progress, in which case Martin L's advise needs to be followed.

Withdrawals do nothing to the DAS record. If it's causing a clash somewhere, the employer will need to manually Stop their DAS record with the same month/year as the withdrawal. They can just be left Live forever though, that's the way the system is (frustratingly) designed.

Thanks for your reply Martin but they didn't complete before the expected end date.  Where could I check if the completion payment has been made?

HI All

I have apprentices who have completed apprenticeships, i have closed off the standard with end date and achievement date (being different dates obviously) and the achievements are not being paid out, the DAS remains live instead of completed and the employers accounts are showing as live and not ending their end and they are advised not to stop the accounts if the outcome is achieved.

Can anyone help with this, in the destination and progression do you need to put an end date in the outcome field as well as the start date of the outcome ?

Have you checked the learner level view report on the SLD for any Completion Holdback?

You only need an end date in the DP record if you know that destination has ended
