Assuming nothing happened in the break like a change of employer or a renegotiation of price, the TNP on the restart should be identical to on the original period. Same with Planned OTJ hours.
PMR for 21/22 says about the restart; Record the price details as required using AFinType = TNP and the applicable codes. The price recorded on the new programme aim should be the same as the price prior to the break in learning unless you and the employer have negotiated a new price for the programme.
Hi Gina, How do?
From the provider support manual: Provider Support Manual: 2021 to 2022 - How to record changes to the apprenticeship (submit-learner-data.service.gov.uk)
Record the price details as required using AFinType = TNP and the applicable codes. The price recorded on the new programme aim should be the same as the price prior to the break in learning unless you and the employer have negotiated a new price for the programme.
However if the learner has English and Maths aims then you need to RPL those to reflect the amount of funding already drawn down other wise they will generate the full amount per aim:
From the page above under the recording new aims on restart section:
Funding adjustment for prior learning
Programme aim: Not Returned
Component aim: Proportion of the aim still to be delivered (English and maths aims only)

Return from Break in Learning - Fees
Created
I am super confused about something so am wondering if anyone can help me out!
When an apprentice returns from a break in learning, should the fees be manipulated giving the amount of funding left?
I ask this question as in my previous role we have always amended fees and start/end dates on return. To show the outstanding funding. Where I currently work they don't do this.
I have read post that says this is correct however when I work the funding back for returning apprentices I appear to be missing out on some funding.
This is really confusing me and I think I may be over thinking it completely....please help a confused person out!
Thank you in advance
