22A-204

We have a learner that's transferred their apprenticeship to us. It's been flagged as a re start, has the funding adjustment for prior learning, doesn't have the original start date entered as per the rules.

However it's flagging on DSAT 22A-204 as not meeting the minimum duration, is there something that we've missed? His previous apprenticeship started in academic year 20/21 and his apprenticeship with us started in 21/22 - could this be the reason?

Thanks

Hi Becky

Just checked the logic on the report and it doesn't exclude Restarts, so it's almost the definition of an "Are You Sure?" report because it will bring back anyone under 372 days regardless. As your learner has the restart flag (which will show on the report), and you've got the evidence of what they've done previously, just note that in the annotations column for when an auditor comes to check.

Just make a note on the DSAT report. You know it's not an error. The FIS errors on duration exclude restarts, but obviously not the DSAT. We have several students on this report, and we checked the PLR for their previous duration at the other provider, to check it met minimum alongside our part.

I don't think the different start years will be making a difference as the DSAT report won't be looking at previous enrolments with other providers.

When you say funding adjustment, do you mean a lower TNP? You wouldn't use the PriorLearnFundAdj except on English and maths.

Hi both,

Thank you for confirming that's brilliant just wanted to check I hadn't missed anything - and sorry Ruth I just meant for English and Maths!

Really appreciate the help!
