Hi, we have an Apprentice who has just been on her programme a year this month and has while July 2023 to complete her qualification/EPA.  She is really struggling in the work environment (mental health) but wants to continue, am I correct in saying that this is not possible?  I have quickly looked through the guidance but nothing is jumping out at me. Thanks Helen.

Not all will learn at the same pace or as original planned due to various issues and while you are unable to change the planned end date on the ILR you can allow and include addition time by revising the commitment statement where situations require it.

If she just wants to fully quit the job, and not extend as Martin suggests, you could withdraw, then re-enrol on a classroom based version of the same qualification. You couldn't do the standard though. We've done that before now. If they're 16-18, make sure you only record the hours they're really going to do as part of the non-apprenticeship enrolment. If they're AEB funded on the non-apprenticeship qual, make sure you adjust the funding down to what percentage they have left.

Thanks Martin, she doesn't wish to continue going to her Employer just wants to come to her Training day but I can't see this is possible?
