Yes, it's still a collection requirement for the time being for the following programmes;
- ESF (FundModel 70)
- Apprenticeship Frameworks (ProgType 2,3, 20,21,22,23)
- Apprenticeship Standards (ProgType 25)
Though as you have pointed out, there'll be no new numbers issued from April 2022;
From 1 April 2022, new Employer Identifier numbers are no longer issued. Please use a value of 999999999 where the employer does not exist on the Employer Data Service. There is no longer a requirement to update this within 60 days.

ERN required on Apprenticeship documents for 2022-2023?

I know that we no longer need to search for new ERNs but are we still required to record it for existing ones? the update that told us to use all the 9's for missing ones also has a line about it not being needed for Apprenticeships. Thoughts?
