Calculating prior learning - months or days

Created

Hi all

I am currently building a calculator to work out durations and training costs after prior learning has been taken into account based off the new calculations in the 22/23 funding rules.

Any ideas whether I should be using days or months to calculate the new duration? The funding rules make reference to months however I am wary that months may be too broad of a measurement (especially for standards where the typical duration would be 12 months). I would like have our 12 month programmes all at 13 months as a general rule but the issue still lingers over my head.

Thanks

The Apprenticeship Service requires that you enter duration reductions in weeks, so probably easiest to match that. You can't always use a default calculation though, there are a few threads on here this week talking about that.

Thanks Ruth. I'll have a look at those threads too.
