P71 You must not claim funding for individuals who do not meet the eligibility criteria set out in this document unless they are eligible under the Education (Fees and Awards) (England) Regulations 2007 (as amended). You must not claim for
individuals who:P71.2 Are resident in the United Kingdom on a student visa unless they are eligible through meeting any other of the categories described in Annex A
Though as it says, you'd be best to make sure they're not otherwise eligible through provisions within Annex A of the Funding Rules

Just checking I am correct on this one - if an individual has been in the UK for 3 years but on a restrictive student visa -they will meet the residency criteria?
