The evidence pack for the learner must include;
P340.1 Confirmation of date of birth to ensure that an apprentice is aged over 15 and confirmation that the apprentice has legally left school. The school leaving age can be found on GOV.UK.
P340.2 Confirmation that you have seen the learner’s identity documents or immigration permission to verify their residency eligibility in line with Annex A. Confirmation that you are satisfied the learner is eligible for funding and (where necessary) where a learner’s permission to stay has expired you must hold evidence that an application to remain has been made.
P341 To support the evidence pack you must confirm the type of evidence you have seen to satisfy that the apprentice meets all eligibility criteria.
As long as you record what you've seen to satisfy yourself as a provider regarding the above, and maintain a degree of consistency in applying those benchmarks, you should be fine. A residence permit is sufficient in terms of proving eligibility as far as residency is concerned, and identity on the basis described within the governments proof of identity checklist.

Proof of Residency

Hi All.
I have a learner who evacuated from Afghanistan in November 2021 and has provided a Residence Permit (card) showing 'Indefinite Leave to Remain'.
I know we can AEB fund them and they are exempt from the 3 year rule.
But what else if anything else should I be asking to see? Passport? Something from the EU Settlement Scheme?
Is the Residence Permit (card) enough?
