PHours_06 Error - Post 2

Created

Apologies for cross-posting with myself, but unless you've subscribed to my previous post you wouldn't see what I've found. Are others finding you have to put the Planned Hours for Apprenticeship against all aims or you get the PHours06 error? Spec says only goes against the Programme aim, but for us we've found we've had to put against all. Does this mean I've coded something else wrong? ZPROG is Programme aim, diploma/FS Component Aims, programme type Apprenticeship Standard for all aims.
Is it just us getting this error unless all aims have Planned Hours?

We only put PHours on the programme aim, and we don't get that error. Have you checked you're returning a NULL for all the non-programme aims, and not accidentally reporting a zero?

Thank you Ruth, we tracked it down to our MIS provider outputting a "0" even if the field was empty. It shouldn't output anything if zero or blank. After arguing with them they have reluctantly agreed to change the output file. They argue the Spec says allowed values are 0 to 9999 and say the validation should sort out if the field is needed for the aim or not. Thanks for repsonse.

David Dalby Glad they finally agreed, because they were wrong! The spec says the value does say 0 to 9999, but it also says "To be recorded against the programme aim", so they shouldn't be outputting anything on any non-programme aims.

There used to be a lot of fields you could complete in the ILR, and ESFA's predecessors would just ignore it. Over the years they've got more picky about us not returning data they don't want.
