Outstanding OPPs when a learner completes early

Created

None

Colleagues,

When a learner completes their Practical Period earlier than planned (i.e. before their PED in the ILR), are the outstanding 'on programme payments' due in the last month of their Practical Period (i.e. the month recorded as the AED in the ILR) or are they paid once the learner has completed their EPA and you have input an Achievement Date in the ILR?

Thanks

They get paid with the completion payment.

And if they never sit the EPA, you lose all the balancing OPPs you were due, because you have to record it as a withdrawal.

Ruth/Steve can I just check, in the above instance, if the learner then goes on to complete their EPA in the following funding year, will the outstanding OPPs still be received as a balancing payment? Thanks

To the best of my knowledge, yes, it's only if they don't complete the EPA (and are therefore a withdrawal) when it gets gnarly...
