As long as you make it clear that by signing the form they are confirming their commitment to abide by those obligations relevant to them, you’re not required to have stakeholders initial each statement in that section. You can achieve this by adding a basic sentence to this effect in the signature section, for example.
For things like this where they have been explicitly prescriptive, as long as you can reasonably explain why you’ve done what you’ve done, and how it makes sense, the ESFA are highly likely to be okay with it.

Apprenticeship Training Plan Template
Created
Hi everyone, we have used the ESFA published template for our own training plan and as you'll know the commitments tab on there is very detailed and directs you to get 'initials' against each individual item when it has been agreed/actioned. We used to just have the commitments bullet pointed and then a signature/declaration at the end to confirm agreement but we have gone down this very detailed route as a result of the updated template. We have then accessed/purchased the pack provided by Solvendis as a suggested compliant set of apprenticeship paperwork and note that they have just bullet pointed the commitments (as we used to) with a final sign off/declaration at the bottom. They do say that it's not been audited and can't be held responsible etc etc but I'm just curious now to know how others have done this commitments section particularly? Is anyone willing to share how you are doing this please? Regards, Angela
