Good Afternoon All

We have a learner who is most of the way through an apprenticeship having completed /42 months. He has then moved to a new employer who has agreed to take on the apprenticeship contract to allow him to complete. I have processed him on our learner management software (pics) as a transfer. Would his new record need to meet the 12 months minimum duration?

Is there a gap in employment/reason why this isn't recorded as a change of employer?

Yes there is a gap of 2 months

Not if he's doing the same programme, no. It'll all count towards the overall duration, regardless of how many employers he goes through. Just be mindful to use the restart indicator if you've had to terminate their POT and add a new one.
