Not sure if you mean planned end date or actual end date but the ILR is generally only interested in the practical period (with the exception of the 'achievement date', which reflects when the EPA was completed)
- Planned end date - for component aims the planned end date should reflect how long the learner is expected to be in learning on that particular aim. For programme aims (ZPROG) starting before 1/8/19 the planned end date should include the practical period and EPA period. For programme aims starting on/after 1/8/19 the planned end date should include the practical period only
- Actual end date - for component aims the actual end date should reflect the last date of learning toward that particular aim. For programme aims (ZPROG) the actual end date should reflect when the last piece of learning has taken place (the end of the practical period) and does NOT include the end point assessment period. This was slightly different where the learning activities had been completed prior to 1/8/19, but as that was 3 years ago now, it seems somewhat irrelevant
Hi,
Thank you, Ben and Martin, for the response. My confusion is clear now. Was confused about where the practical end date was recorded.
"For programme aims to start on/after 1/8/19 the planned end date should include the practical period only" so this means that ZPROG plan end date will not include the waiting for EPA. So when the apprentice is ready for the gateway we can close the records?
Kind regards
Aishe

The practical end date

Hi All,
This question might already have been answered but I haven't had the chance to see it yet and hope you could help. Might I ask where we record the practical end date on ILR? Is it at the non-regulated component aim and the qualification (if applicable) or I am wrong to think so?
Thank you
Aishe
