Functional Skills entered in error

I have a couple of learners who have been entered on the ILR in error as they already have GCSEs.  Do I end the record as of today or backdate the removal and then do I get a claw back?  I have only just realised as I have only just managed to ger PDSAT!  Shows how useful that tool is at least!!

many thanks all!

If they already had those GCSE when they started the apprenticeship, you can't have any funding, and must withdraw back to the start and get claw back. If they achieved the GCSEs part way through (such as if they re-sat at their last school), I'd withdraw from when they achieved the GCSE.

Oh, unless they were assessed at below Level 2 and you've been teaching them FS? When a learner turns up with their Cert after you've been teaching them, you can definitely keep the money up to that point (so would be withdrawn on last day of learning).

Steve Hewitt To me, it depends. If we delivered the GCSE, or there was evidence in the PLR, then absolutely you can't fund, as you should have known, regardless of assessed level. If it showed up in a DSAT, then there must have been some available data to show they already had a GCSE?

But yes, if there was no way we could have known, and the student brings in certs later, I'd withdraw on date they brought them in, and have the funding already achieved.
