Hi all, Sucks this happened Helen - just wanted to confirm the College's I have worked for (4 total) we also use SLD as our error checking tool due to having similar experiences with the unreliability of FIS errors matching the SLD (ULN's, LSD Postcodes etc) In addition, we now always submit our final file at least 24 hours before the close to allow for any unforeseen circumstances such as sickness/absence or network issues etc. Once had a power-cut around 2/3pm of the submission day which added to much un-needed stress for the minimal differences in the ILR file..!

Hi Alison, I hope this is now resolved but if not: No unfortunately 25.2 did not include these "new" LDM codes which is a shame because they aren't new at all. We manually assigned these codes in the ILR Lookup -> National Learning Aim Monitoring section.

Hi Sharon, I would recommend talking to your Account Manager with the poor experience you are having so they could investigate the issue internally. We have previously escalated tickets where they have been pending for several months with no updates throughout the process. As someone who has transitioned from EBS (Tribal) to the ProSuite (OneAdvanced) - ProSolution is better MIS system, the support side on OneAdvanced products are significantly worse. I miss the days of being able to jump on a call with a knowledgeable developer & talk through the issue promptly rather than waiting just to get a reply of "Are you on the latest version" - now you need to wait weeks until you speak to someone with technical expertise.

To add to your question Chris - I would be interested to know in addition what providers do for EEP study that is not due to happen yet. Using your example if your Voc learner attended 62 days which lets say that is November 2025. If that whole group was due to go out on work experience in January 2026 - would you be removing the hours or leaving these EEP hours?

I am also pretty sure the DFE link the Apprenticeship Standard ID, ULN & start date from historic ILR's. I vaguely remember we took a learner from another provider after withdrawing 1-2 years before. The Funding Band Maximum showed the original price of training provider #1 - rather than the funding band maximum of a new-start at provider #2 I would also suggest checking your PDSATs on report 26A-103 then look at column AY "Total negotiated price as proportion of funding band maximum" & the learner shows above 100% you know it's to high.

Hi Pushpa, Scenario #1 logic is covered in this post - Further education and training providers community - Achieved GCSE November resit at previous school! looks like the guidance is to withdraw & update the MathGrade or EngGrade as appropriate with the 4+ grade which make the learner compliant for your COF. Regarding Planned Hours, if the learners last attended date was post qualifying period, I would be leaving the hours (102 here) & this would hit your retention. If the students last date of attendance was pre-qualifying period I would be removing these hours (or be considering using actuals if it would make a material difference to an increased funding band. Scenario #2 - In the 2025 to 2026 academic year: 16 to 19 funding: maths and English condition of funding - GOV.UK (looks like a new addition for 25/26 since this line was not in 24/25) paragraph 12.3 - "for these students, institutions should retain the planned hours and replace the hours previously timetabled for teaching English and/or maths with alternative activity such as work experience or pastoral support" - I always thought achieving the November GCSE resist was a good incentive for students to get in early, so putting on less meaningful EEP does feel like a shame. We have done a half-way method with this, the students who do not need the GCSE hours to be in Band 5/4A we have reduced the overall Planned Learning Hours for the student down to what they did up to the November exam(s) & not put on alternative study (since we have Equine/Animal Care learners that are 800+ hours) For those who did need the hours, we have put on alternative EEP/Work Experience study which is a different approach for each curriculum department/course level.

To confirm - have heard back from the DfE When a learner fully completes in the previous academic year, we are not able to retrospectively claim their earnt completion payment via EAS so we need to receive all outstanding co-investment by R14. To other people reading this - it may seem pedantic chasing employers for £20-£30 for a levy-shortfall during the busy main enrolment months, be persistent or you may have a few learners not receive their completion payment/20% of TNP!

Hi Chris, Yes I would say this is ok (looked through the guidance to find something to confirm this scenario but could not) We are expected for learners with GCSE Grade 3 & L2 Pass to enrol them on GCSE as mandatory to meet COF I don't see why a learner who has GCSE Grade 2 or below & L2 Pass to work towards a GCSE would cause any issues. The fact they already meet COF with the Level 2 Pass I find irrelevant, the student does not have a GCSE Grade 4 & wants to better themselves by improving their GCSE grade - I have not come across this scenario myself but we follow similar logic with our GCSE English Language/English Lit where it's common a learner with a 4 in Lit and 3 in Language wants to improve their Language grade for University.
