I'm speaking to them at the moment. They've said that there is a fix, but it requires myself to be elevated to the technical team who then tells us to alter something on the ILR. I'm worried as this is affecting quite a few of this months starts. However it normally takes several weeks to get a response from the technical team. Has anyone received this fix yet?

We're also having this issue. DLOCK_2 for all starts in March. However we can see that the learners are showing as live on the DAS. Interestingly it is triggering other errors for learners who started in March such as DLOCK 7 where data had been entered incorrectly.

Am I mistaken in thinking that they could have used the codes Outcome: 8 for this? Are other people recording this for Apprenticeships that have gone through gateway?

I wonder if that is as intended. As above it says those lines it specifies the below. When gateway has passed training is complete. Also it seems to specify continuing learners. It feels like their definition of what a continuing learner is, is wrong. This indicator now focuses solely on apprentices who are continuing (or intending to continue) training and are past their planned training end date. Prolonged extension of training can indicate barriers to timely completion, reduced momentum and an increased risk of non‑completion.

Thanks Steve Hewitt I didn't realise that. Does anyone know where this update was accounced, it wasn't included in the DFE update last week. I was expecting it today but it's not there that I can see. We found out about it changing through the article in FE week.

Apparently they've fixed the issue, so I'd let them know if it's continuing for you https://customerhelp.education.gov.uk/hc/en-gb/community/posts/32921063227026-Upload-CSV-not-working-on-the-DAS

Did everyone else find the number of learners counted to be what was expected if they checked for learners with a completion staus of 1 continuing and an outcome of 8 awaiting results. Where the learner is 1 day over their planned end date on 08/01/2026? I can't work out if the fact that our numbers match is random chance, as the learners identified in the data really don't match. It's odd that they use the freeze point as I guess there may be learners who have achieved or gone through gateway on the 3rd, but they wouldn't be included in this file export? As it relates to December?

Hopefully it won't replace 'upload a csv' as that would turn a five minute job into something that takes forever and could lead to more errors.

Yeah I got passed through three support people yesterday and they all asked if I'd cleared the cache! Today we were able to approve a cohort that we hadn't been able to get through since Friday. I'm hearing the employers are having issues approving on their side. We've tried to raise this with DAS, but they won't speak to us on an employers behalf. As you can imagine the employers aren't eager to speak to a customer service person. So I think we're just going to have a lot of data match issues this month.

We used an alternative that's available online. But I know we're not meant to place links to other products. It's not as robust as turnitin. But it seems that at this stage AI checkers are just indicating that AI might be used and then you have to do a series of checks manually to understand if it has been used and to what extent. My hope is that in the future AI companies like chatgpt and google will release AI checkers to schools and training providers so we're able to catch it as opposed to essentially creating a new way to cheat and then taxing education companies to spot it.
