I work primarily on returns/funding/DAS for a HE Training Provider with c.1500 apprentices covering 15 standards I've been looking after the ILR and funding requirements from the very start of our apprenticeship journey, starting with low numbers back in 2015/16.

Hi Jessica - we use 44 - other personal reasons as I make the assumption that they have taken a personal decision to resign.

Hi, I'm also having the same issue. Clearing the cookies/cache does seem to work but it's not a practical solution. We use a cloud based apprenticeship management system, and clearing cookies/cache also deletes settings I have saved for this application, so I'm constantly having to re-apply those settings each time until the Apprenticeship Service/DfE rectify the issue.

Thanks Martin - so where do I find that guidance? "For Apprenticeship programme aims the planned end date must not be changed excepting due to an administration error prior to R14 in the start year due to the funding being reconciled on DAS at each year end."

Martin - Sorry if I'm being a bit thick here ....but that doesn't answer my query regarding the wording. It doesn't say "start date", it just says "date" which seems to mean planned end date as that's the only date referred to in that sentence. You've simply quoted the same paragraph that I'm querying so I'm no wiser really.

Hi Martin - above you said "when the start date is prior to 1st August of the current year." Is the PSM wording incorrect as it doesn't state "start date", it just says "date" which I assumed to mean the "planned end date" when you read the paragraph in full?

Thanks Steve - no it's not optional it's just that apprentices can register and take the FS at a time that best fits with their work/study patterns. ESFA have actually just replied and confirmed what you said previously, that as long as they are engaging in the main apprenticeship programme then BIL's are not required for FS. They also confirmed that our approach of allocating a year to complete from first engagement is ok from a funding perspective.

Thanks Steve - is it ok to be drawing down funding each month for L2 FS if the learner does not engage for more than 28 days? Not sure I follow the Ofsted comment? The learners are receiving full training and support including initial assessment, diagnostic assessment, an individualised learning plan including online tutorials/workshops, mock exams and one-to one support where necessary. They also take a live exam on campus.
