Hi Craig, I have found this a bit of a grey area, but it depends when the Transfer was agreed. Rules state as follows: 181. Transferred funds can only be used to pay for training and assessment for apprenticeship standards, for new apprenticeship starts. A transfer must be agreed and put in place before an apprentice (being funded by the transfer) starts their apprenticeship. You would probably need to check with the helpdesk whether they are happy with it dependant on circumstances. That being said, be aware that if you do backdate the transfer to the start, any Co-Investment that became due in the months before the transfer was put in place, will still be due. Not collecting this will also cause issues with claiming the completion payment.

Still getting errors. I assume the same with others. Helpdesk advised they would contact me with updates whilst they resolve but not had anything yet. Has anyone heard anything? Thanks

The stop will almost certainly prevent the completion payment being paid. I have been advised in the past when this happens, the stop date needs to be amended back to the start date and a new DAS record set up with original start date, however, this was some time ago and advice may have changed so worth contacting helpdesk.

You can request a stop directly on DAS, they will then email the person with control of their account and if they don't action the stop or reply to DfE within something like 2/3 weeks, a stop is automatically applied. You just need to try to add the learner and when it comes up with the message saying they are already on a programme, it gives you the option to request a stop. (If you get the message about there already being a record with that email address, just remove the email address and try again to submit).
