I don't feel like it's unreasonable that, if the reports say they're out today, they should be available first thing. They're better off promising the deadline as tomorrow, and working to today, I'd be much less annoyed about it. Under promise, over deliver! I'm not working tomorrow, so now I only have the first three days back to fix any issues before R05.

If it was just a change of employer with no significant gap, you shouldn't need EEF 2, because you won't have changed the enrolment. The start date will still be when they were 16-18, and all funding assessments for apprentices are based on age at start date of teh apprenticeship (it doesn't matter how old they were when they started with a new employer). If there was a gap between employers, meaning you had to withdraw and enrol again, then EEF2 would be the answer.

I'm afraid I don't know the answer, but if you do test it and find out, I'd love to know! :)

Christopher - They don't generate FRM reports before R04 (except those new few that we get after each upload). Yvonne - On the portal you should have a "Data Quality Assurance" menu item. If not, I'm fairly sure that's a permission thing. I can't remember exactly which one, but maybe "View Your Education Data - 16+ Monitoring"?

The FRM reports will all be on View Your Education Date this year; https://viewyourdata.education.gov.uk/welcome You just need to use your iDAMS account to get access (I think you also need to grant permissions from a super user account). R04 reports are due on Thursday.

Benjamin - It's in the funding rules; P246 Where an apprenticeship has started and funds have not been reserved, if you want to use reserved funds to fund that apprenticeship, you, or the employer, must reserve funds for a future available month. You must re-start the apprentice on their apprenticeship and re-determine eligibility in line with the start date confirmed in the reservation. This includes, where applicable, updating the apprenticeship agreement and commitment statement. And employers can't claim the new employee incentive without have a DAS record for that apprentice. That's in the employer rules; E114 To receive an incentive payment for hiring a new apprentice, you must use the apprenticeship service to: E114.1 access funding for the apprentice’s training and assessment; and E114.2 claim the incentive payment which will be paid to you directly.

Same as jessicar, we obtain all the ULNs for our students. Even students who think they know their ULN, get it wrong, plus lots of students don't yet have one. There is a batch process the LRS offers to do these in bulk. The MIS software that we use plugs right in to that and we do huge batches of hundreds at a time sometimes. I've yet to find an employer who knows their ERN, or would even know where to find it. They have one per site too, so it's not just one per employer if they're multi-site. We search for those every time we start working with a new employer/site.

Are you saying the apprentice withdrew after (or close to) their Planned End Date, so you'd had all the On Programme Payments of £2,400? I've never had a minus figure in the Price Amount Remaining column of the Apps Indicative report, so I don't know what has caused that. I don't pay much attention to that report anyway, I tend to wait for the month end Apps Monthly Payment Report. It'll be interesting to see what was in there. Sounds like you should have the original enrolment, coded as £3k, and set as withdrawn some time close to the PED. You then have a new enrolment with a new start date and planned end date (presumably very short since they were nearly done?), with a price of £600?

Yes and yes. The funding rules say "P286 You must agree with the employer any reimbursement for employer co-investment made for learning paid for, but not undertaken". If you don't collect 5% of the price you agreed, you risk all your 95% ESFA funding. The employer won't be out of pocket if the first provider refund. It may be just the the first provider hasn't yet arranged the refund, or need a little prompting (identifying and organising refunds is an area we're struggling with a little, despite our best intentions). If the first provider won't refund, the employer might want to have a chat with the apprenticeship service about that and see what pressure they can exert.

Hello. It depends whether it was a temp withdrawal, or a full withdrawal. If it was a full withdrawal, the price would be the newly negotiated price. That's limited to the band maximum minus the funding already received for that same standard or framework/pathway in the past. You record it with the restart indicator, but not an original start date. A restart after a temp withdrawal has the same price as the original enrolment that is still reported as tempt withdrawal, is marked as a restart and has an original start date.
