We are currently undergoing an audit by a company that carries them out on behalf of the ESFA and we went back over this question this week after having spoken to the ESFA a few weeks ago. They confirm they use 3 measures to ascertain if delivery staff are sub-contractors; Do we direct them Do they use our materials Do we pay the market rate Then Ofsted have more criteria around Standardisation, CPD etc.

It is up to you, when writing your curriculum, to allocate the hours required for each KSB. It is not mandated anywhere. Best wishes

We think existing, see Simon Ashworth on LinkedIn, but yes nothing from the government other than – which will come into effect immediately – employers can decide what they require from apprentices over the age of 19. Please share if anyone hears anything.

It is a huge administrative burden and we have expanded our Funding admin Team as otherwise you will also end up with a pile of datalocks. Employers do funny things!!

Key Skills Level 2 (qualification or units) is what the rules says so should be fine as long as she passed it.

Agree, but would check this is the full qualification, not a unit within an NVQ which does not count.
