You can only provide FS training to Apprenticeship learners who are subcontracted to you by their main Provider. You would return any aims in your ILR as full cost or unfunded in your ILR if you are required to do so, you cannot claim any funding as this must be claimed by the main Provider in their ILR.

Yes, that sounds really odd. You aren't allowed to claim any English/maths funding for someone who's already drawing down apps funding at another provider, and you're not going to deliver for free. If a lead provider has subcontracted out to you, you'd think they'd want to claim the funding by recording it in their ILR, before paying you. It's 100% the Lead Providers job to sort out the English/maths requirements and delivery;
P173 Funding for all elements of each apprenticeship will be routed through a single main provider that the employer has chosen. This includes funding for English and maths.

The answer seems obvious to me but to be sure, am I right in thinking the the main provider of an apprenticeship must plan Maths/English required as part of the initial assessment and then subcontract as needed? We have noticed a couple of instances of apprenticeship learners from other providers wanting to study with us due to our facilities/availability. I'm aware if the learner has it planned already we definitely can't duplicate the learning and claim funding, so my question really hinges on what happens if the other provider didn't plan or include it in their return at all.
