Hi all,

Has anyone else suddenly started seeing this ILR error when submitting to the SLD this morning?

Rule Name
LearnDelFAMType_114

Error Message
The start date of the learning aim must be between the effective dates of the Free Courses for Jobs category codes

We have suddenly got a lot of errors for enrolments that were previously fine for the last few months..?

Oh lovely... It's a new Rule in V7 of the validation rules, which uses Category end dates, not funding model LDNS dates:

If the 'Level 3 Free Courses for Jobs' learning delivery monitoring code has been returned, then the learning start date of the aim must be between the Effective dates of the LARS category codes 'National Skills Fund Level 3 Adult Offer rate 1', 'National Skills Fund Level 3 Adult Offer rate 2', 'National Skills Funding Level 3 Offer - short qualification' or 'Free Courses for Jobs – MCA and GLA only flexible delivery qualifications'

error where
LearningDeliveryFAM.LearnDelFAMType = LDM and LearningDeliveryFAM.LearnDelFAMCode = 378
and
LARS_CategoryRef = 45, 46, 49 or 56 (where LearningDelivery.LearnAimRef = LARS_LearnAimRef and LearningDelivery.LearnStartDate <  LARS_EffectiveFrom or > LARS_EffectiveTo in LARS_LearningDeliveryCategory)

Have you got an example aim or two?

Steve Bowler

Hi,

I'm getting these too for aim 60131184 :-(

Hi Steve,

Here are two:

LearnDelFAMType=LDM|LearnDelFAMCode=378|LearnAimRef=60126292|LearnStartDate=03/10/2022|
LearnDelFAMType=LDM|LearnDelFAMCode=378|LearnAimRef=60320230|LearnStartDate=03/10/2022|

We already checked the category dates and they seem fine.. so looks like they broke it?

Reference: 60320230

Category code Description Parent category code Parent description Effective from Effective to
46 National Skills Fund Level 3 Free Courses for Jobs rate 2 0 N/A 01 April 2021 31 December 2600

Steve Hewitt

Niiiiice...

I note that all of these have also got a 10 Nov 22 end date on one of the Categories, I bet it's that that they've not done properly...

Richard Phipps

But not on Category codes 46 or 49, so you think they have just checked for other category end dates by error?

Ruth Canham-James

They're also ones where the Adult Skills LDNS has passed. ESFA explicitly told me that we could ignore Adult Skills LDNS when funding under FCFJ, and only the category end date mattered.

I've emailed the appropriate people ;)

Thanks Steve, I've emailed too :)

Good Afternoon All.  I have just run an ILR and we have 29 learners with this error showing on the Rule Violation Report.  Any update on the error being investigated?
Thanks

Richard Phipps

Just to let you know this has started happening again for us. I have reported to ESFA:

With the new updates to the SLD and the FIS (V2324.4) we have suddenly started getting an error for 2 learners that was previously only a warning:

LearnDelFAMType_114

I can see on FE Communities that this rule was changed previously and caused a false error and was put back to a warning, I suspect this has gone back to an error incorrectly with the updates.
