Withdrawal after partial EPA

Created

None

Hi, I'd be grateful for your advice:

An apprentice entered EPA and we coded them completion: 2, outcome: 8.  4 months later, they've undertaken 2 out of 3 parts of the EPA and decided not to continue. I've seen guidance stating that we should change that code 8 to a code 3, but I'm worried that that would trigger a completion payment - and we can't claim the completion payment if all elements of the EPA were not undertaken.

Am I missing something obvious? Is this actually a withdrawal back to the planned end date?

Many thanks in advance.

After completing the practical period, apprenticeship programme aims should be set/remain as 1/8 until they’ve either:

  1. completed all elements of the EPA and have passed (2/1)
  2.  completed all elements of the EPA and have failed (2/3)
  3. withdrawn before completing all elements of the EPA (3/3)

(short answer: 1. never use 2&8, 2. they need to be a withdrawal)
