Evidnece requirments - initial assessments for English and math

Created

None

We use Skills Forward to complete initial and diagnostic assessments for all of our learners.  For audit purposes would a record of the results E.g. "30/01/23 Maths L2 76%"  be sufficient, or would the auditors expect to see a copy of the full assessment?

The reason I ask is because our provider is going to start changing us for all of the archived licenses.  The only way to avoid the charge is to delete the account, which would delete the assessment itself.  We do, however, record the outcome of the assessment within the eligibility review which is signed by the learner and provider.  Would this be sufficient?

It's been my experience that they'd want to see the assessments themselves rather than just confirmation of the outcome. Presumably this is based upon:

Evidence requirements

  • Details of how English and maths will be delivered, including a plan of delivery and evidence of delivery taking place against that plan.
  • All initial assessments for English and maths, including evidence of prior attainment. Please also refer to the evidence requirements for recognition of prior learning and experience .
