Rules say: "This could be a wage slip or a UC statement within 3 months of the learner’s learning start date, or a current employment contract which states gross monthly/annual wages. Please note this is not an exhaustive list, but you must evidence your decision to award full funding to an individual who would normally be eligible for co-funding".
Our most common evidence is 3 months of wage slips (we add up the three months and multiply by 4 to get an average annual income), as lots of the low wage students don't have a regular income or a contract that has a set salary.
If the evidence this student was able to provide was the last three months of wage slips, we'd do the same and wouldn't question that.

AEB Eligibility for Funding
Created
Hi,
We have a learner who has signed up on a AEB Programme who at the point of enrolment was on maternity pay and wage evidence suggests they are below the earnings threshold however if they were not on maternity their wage would be above the threshold.
Just wanted to check if we can claim full funding or would it need to go off the learner's normal wage?
Thanks,
