We personally update the paperwork and ILR just as a best practice thing, but providing the planned/actual dates aren't more than 7 days out or in different months, you should be fine. Would suggest adding some kind of note at the very least, even if you weren't updating everything

It is sufficient for the date held in this field to be accurate to within a week, providing that any approximation does not result in a learner being wrongly included or excluded in the funding calculations.
