ESF Logos on paperwork / Posters

HI Phil one of the AEB auditing tests is;

Does the learners evidence pack comply with ESF publicity requirements?

Providers must display the current ESF logo on their enrolment documentation and learning materials.

Does this apply to apprenticeships?

Levy Apprenticeship funding, 16-18 funding and AEB funding from the GLA are not used for match funding therefore the logo is needed. It's still mandatory for Non Levy and Non Devolved AEB from the ESFA. Im not sure about other devolved areas, id suggest you check their funding rules documents

I assume this question is with reference to no longer being part of the EU. If we have no direct ESF funding, just the possibility of match funding, do we still need the logo on our paperwork for new starts in 21/22? Will ESF match funding continue to be a thing for 21/22? As far as I can google, the most recent ESF programme was 2014-2020. 

I'm not sure about next year but it could be a case that the logo may still need to be present on paperwork while you still have esf /match funded learners live. Lets see what happens when next year's funding rules come out

Can anyone point me in the direction of where the latest guidance is on the requirements to use ESF logos and display posters etc... ?

The latest information I can find other than the audit pack as mentioned above is a letter attached as an appendix to our 18/19 grant contract.

Hi, it's been 4 months since this thread went quiet, has anyone spotted this helpful information from Matt in writing or in any of the subsequently published guidance?

I emailed the ESFA about ESF and was told:

The current set of ESF contracts will continue to run as normal until 2023.

The guidance remains the same - posters, paperwork etc still need to carry the logos.

The 2021/22 Funding Rules still make reference to it: Adult education budget (AEB) funding rules 2021 to 2022 - GOV.UK (www.gov.uk)

Can anyone give a definitive answer on whether the ESF logo is needed for 16-19 paperwork in 21-22?

I cant see anything in the funding rules.

It is still mentioned in the 21/22 rules. That said I am sure the agency told me a while ago that 16-18 and Levy funding is exempt from Match funding requirements.
