21/22 Appendix F Privacy Notice

Wow! It's massive and we'll have the same problem fitting it onto our paper form. 

The last paragraph states:

Changes to this privacy notice
We may change this privacy notice and we encourage you to check this privacy notice from time to time.

Hoping it gets shortened before summer!

Also, how has it taken them since 2018 to actually include all the GDPR stuff? Wonder if they've had a slap on the wrist from someone...

Whilst this says it's for 2021/22, it does say Version 1 - January 2021.  With that in mind, should we be implementing this now in our 20/21 existing paperwork?

Nah, it's part of the 21/22 files, not the 20/21. The one we're currently using was published 1 Feb 2020.

Just checking I haven't missed anything here, are there any other privacy notices than the ones below we need to be sharing with learners?

Thanks all for your feedback on the 21/22 Privacy Notice, we passed it on to our data security colleagues who said they’ll look into the possibility of producing a shorter version for learner forms. Happy to update you on that in the next few weeks.

Karen Simmons I know they've already drafted a shorter one, and are just getting it approved, I sent a chase up email about it this morning.

We want to start enrolling a small group on 10th May, so could really do with it soon so we don't have to include the really long Privacy Notice for them them. I really don't want to go down the route of chasing them up to sign new privacy statements in a month, so currently the long notice is the only option.

Do we have any idea when this 'short version' might be released?

The 21/22 Appendix F that is at https://guidance.submitlearnerdatabeta.fasst.org.uk/ilr/appendices hasn't been updated yet. I assume they won't be putting the short version somewhere else.

Hello, back with a useful update this time!

The ILR and data security team have published the privacy notice. The location is now is on the ILR webpage: https://guidance.submitlearnerdatabeta.fasst.org.uk/

The previous ILR Privacy Notice (Appendix F) has been removed and so the new page replaces the previous PDF file to meet accessibility requirements.

I'm loathe to reopen this thread but I still can't find Appendix F for 21/22. Kuldip, please can you advise as to the correct link for the 21/22 appendix F? Time's ticking on to get new paperwork ready for 21/22 enrolments.
